I reckon the current Vatican mafia have got a damn cheek complaining about that memo!

Especially when ALL of the items in the memo are not just good ideas, they are

 Public Relations Gold.

You'd think, given the unHoly Roman Empires current embarrassment of anti-riches, they'd be snapping the hand of anything that looks like it might shed a good light on them for a change.

I was so incensed by the audacity of the unabashed and unashamed stance taken by these pompous protectors of the fuckers of children, I thought I let one rip.

A Letter To The Future

I don't even know if this is a good idea, there are arguments for and against but it IS an idea and I thought I shouldn't be the censor of it so, instead, I'm hanging it out for you guys to dry, so to speak.

Open letter to all followers of the catholic faith who have suffered abuse,

Firstly, my commiserations, as an atheist I cannot begin to understand what this does to your perception of faith and, as someone who has never suffered abuse, I cannot begin to understand the affect being abused by a respected proponent of that faith had on you but you have my thoughts and anger.

And so to my point,

Many Sufferers of abuse have already had the courage to come forward and relay the injustices of the abuses against them but I sense there's probably another group who, whilst they do have the courage to speak out, do not have the opportunity because of current life circumstances. It is totally understandable that a person would not want to disrupt the good life they have now.
So, I ask all who have ever suffered abuse but especially this group, if you feel you cannot reveal the offences against you, please try to write a letter to the future.
I've heard it is commonly considered good therapy to 'write-it-out', so it may be of personal benefit to do so. I'd like to suggest however that your letter carry a purpose beyond therapy. Provide as many facts as you can of names, locations and dates of offences, so telling as detailed an account as you can of the offences of abuse against you.
When you are done, post that letter to yourself. When it arrives, write on the back. Stipulate that it is not to be opened until after your death, or at some other date farther in the future. Then simply store it with your other private papers and forget about it.
The Roman Catholic church isn't going anywhere soon, they're going to be around for a good while yet and, as the church is worth billions and has already paid out billions in compensation, there are bound to be funds put aside for the future care of those who have suffered because of their wilful negligence.
Even if you cannot, understandably, for whatever reason face the inquiry into your abuse please leave a record. So that in time the church can attempt to make amends for its inaction, and contribute to the care of any psychological problems your family may have indirectly suffered because of the abuse you endured.
But further, as I suggested, this simple letter may help bring into the light of the public arena the full extent of the church's organized deception and concealment of the perpetrators. I feel humanity needs to be able to truly comprehend the scale of abuses which have been concealed by the Roman Catholic church.

If you know someone who was abused support and encourage them to, if not come forward, then to at least write a letter to the future.

Please, the world needs eventually to know!

The Beastly Sins Of The Seven Fathers?

I've just read the article - Catholic Church 'knew' paedophiles were recidivist as far back as 1963 by Ruth Gledhill - Times Online - WBLG: Link. The article is no longer available but the letter is here, page 13.

...a letter sent to the Pope in 1963 from a leader in the field of treatment of paedophile priests, warning that they were incorrigibly recidivist...

...In the 1960s his Church opened a special centre in Gloucestershire treating priests involved in sexual abuse including child abuse. It was run by an order that had warned the then Pope in 1963 about this compulsion...

On detailed inspection, this letter alone reveals that from 1963 the popes were fully aware of the scale abuse and the complexity of the situation. It screams that the church knew almost everything. The language used is assumptive of the pope's comprehension, there’s a longevity in it's wording, a long knowing, there's shorthand and no explanations. There is nothing in this that suggests the pope would be shocked. This letter was, I suggest, addressing a person who had detailed prior knowledge of the entire disastrous situation.

PARACLITO COPIA MONTOPOLI [ILLEGIBLE] ITALIA August 27, 1963 Most Holy Father: Let me begin by thanking Your Holiness from the bottom of my heart on behalf of myself, Father Edward Woeber our assistant general and the Servants of the Holy Paraclete for the gracious audience of August 26. In accordance with Your Holiness’ desire I am summarizing some convictions on the problem of the problem priest that our (1)forty years in the priesthood and some twenty years of working exclusively in the Paraclete apostolate to help priests have crystallized in our soul.	(1)Forty years! The letter is dated 1963 so going back 40 years from that date we get...  1923 So the church knew almost a century ago! That spans the tenure of 7 popes! 1 Benedict XVI 2005 –         2 John Paul II 1978 – 2005 3 John Paul I 1978 – 1978 4 Paul VI 1963 – 1978 5 John XXIII 1958 – 1963 6 Pius XII 1939 – 1958 7 Pius XI 1922 – 1939
1) I believe the natural qualities and virtues of aspirants to the priesthood should be (2)more carefully observed before they are segregated and channeled towards the priesthood. To be a good priest, and only the good priest is the successful priest, the aspirant must be naturally of a generous and cheerful character. I am speaking now of the priest whose vocation is the so-called active vocation. Too many even good men but self-centred reach the priesthood.	(2)Infers that the church was previously applying inefficient, ineffectual or incompetent observation of aspiring priests.
2) On this natural, generous and cheerful temperament the years of formation should be built and develop, side by side, the head and the heart into a unique partnership for God and with God. The brilliant priest is a liability rather than an asset to the Church unless, as in the case of Augustine and Aquinas, there is the warmth of a personal love for God and a natural humility that recognizes that the most brilliant intellect is shining only with the light reflected from the infinity of Divine Truth. Unfortunately there is an understandable temptation to consider the (3)brilliant student as adequate for the priesthood without a deep scrutiny of his interior spirit.	(3)Infers that the previous policy was... If the aspiring priest has smarts, ask no questions. Evidence of the church's long term self-serving demeanour.
3) There has been an alarming increase in the present era of priestly casualties. A neo-paganism has arisen. Christian modesty is at a low ebb (note Our Lord’s comment to the children of F...) and the priest who is walking and working in the midst of neo-paganism cannot but be affected by his environment. A century ago a parish priest in his rectory and a religious in his monastery had comparatively much less exposure to the world, the flesh and the (4)devil. His only means of survival today is a very real and personal interior life which is equivalently and effectively the life of a constant union with Christ motivated by personal love and sustained by abiding prayer and mortification. When these elements fail to be present, or to be maintained, the (5)casualties are bound to be multiplied. The present conditions could have been easily (6)predicted and are not in themselves surprising.	(4)It’s obviously the devil’s doing! Because he’s really real you know! (5)Casualties! A delightfully tactful way to describe CHILD RAPES. (6)Predicted! Hey top Vatican blokes, If you’d taken your heads out of your messiah's big fat arse thousands of CHILD RAPES could have been avoided.
4) Having analysed raison d’être for the increased casualties let us now consider how they should be treated. This calls classification and along two lines: a) the (7)length of time the priest in trouble has been in trouble; b) classification according to the character of his problem and his own individual character. This last element is the (8)most vital factor in the prediction of his recovery. Under the first class, obviously the priest who comes on penitential retreat after (9)long years of habitual sin will need a different treatment, if only in duration, than the priest whose fall is a first fall and who has had the good fortune to be brought up swiftly with the seriousness of his situation. Here we recommend to the Hierarchy the value of an ordered retreat which may well serve a priest from becoming hopelessly enmeshed. We have had (10)priests say to us: “Father if I had only come here on retreat a year ago, or two years ago, I would not now be under the (11)grave censure of the Church.”	(7)Longevity of knowledge. (8)It takes many cases for someone to come to this knowledge. (9)Speaks to the vatican's longevity of knowledge about what it takes to 'cure' the paedophile priests. (10)Priests – plural again! (11)The priests themselves displaying that the censure of the church was the most annoying consequence of there actions. This statement should have been "I wouldn’t have destroyed all those babies."
5) The corrective remedies to be applied and their effectiveness will obviously depend upon the good will and character of the individual. Problems that arise from abnormal, homosexual tendencies are going to call for, not only spiritual, but understanding (12)psychiatric counselling. Personally I am not sanguine of the return of priests to active duty who have been addicted to abnormal practices, especially sins with the young. However, the (13)needs of the Church must be taken into consideration and activation of priests who have (14)seemingly recovered in this field may be considered but is only recommended where careful guidance and supervision is possible. Where there is indication of incorrigibility, because of the tremendous scandal given, I would most earnestly recommend total laicization. I say “total” designedly because when these men are taken before civil authority the non-Catholic world definitely blames the discipline of celibacy for the perversion of these men. They argue – rightly or wrongly – that these men turn to boys because they are denied the right of marriage.	(12)The catholic church has repeatedly stated that they did not understand the situation. (13)More evidence of the church's self-serving demeanour. (14)Seemingly! - "It's okay, we'll risk it! They're only children after all!"
6) As for the (15)priests who has entered civil marriage, or who has (16)for years lived in concubinage, for the lifting of scandal and the elimination of the sacrilege arising from living in habitual sin as, above all, for the salvation of souls which is the Church’s reason for being I believe where there is no other invalidating impediment these unions should be quietly validated with the final punitive sanction eliminating any hope of priestly rehabilitation.	(15)Plural again. (16)Speaks to Vatican knowledge of the longevity of wrong doing.
7) The fear that this would encourage others doubtlessly has some weight but is it not true that the Church for centuries has granted dispensation from the solemn vows of religion – both men and women – if they insist and yet this has not made a notable change in the determination of the vast majority of religious to live [and] die within the voluntary renunciation of their vows. Moreover, there must be a realistic recognition of the fact that the (17)average priest who sins with a woman has no intention of abandoning his priestly life on a permanent basis and hence is not seeking an out from the priesthood. Moreover, (18)the knowledge that priests were abiding in priestly self-discipline by an abiding personal choice rather than the onus of vindictive law would bring a deeper respect for the priesthood (19)in the long range esteem of the Roman Catholic priesthood before the world.	(17)Other infractions of the vow of celibacy are long known. (18)Oh really? Priests being what they say they are, and are expected to be, without being forced - That would be a good thing? WOW! Insightful. Well, it would be better than them being CHILD RAPISTS anyway! (19)And, as commendable as it is for the heads up it gave, the last words in the letter once again point toward the churches reputation.

Given that this letter is dated long before the pope was granted immunity from prosecution by George W. Bush, one must assume that the immunity was requested because the vatican knew what was coming and rather than own up and take responsibility they chose to deflect, to blame others, deny awareness of the dire situation and PROTECT THE POPE AT ALL COSTS! Exactly the sort of devious behaviour that in recent weeks we have come to expect from this gang of pompous snivelling fuckwits.
And about that immunity from prosecution - Hmmm - forgive me if I am being stupid here but why would an infallible being need immunity from prosecution? Doesn't infallible mean that you are never going to need immunity because you never going to do anything to require immunity from! Way to prove your Fallibility!
So, I suppose the conclusion is... we should arrest the pope and put him on trial for overlooking and concealing multiple crimes of paedophilia. And, while we're at it, we might as well posthumously try the previous 6 popes also.
I know it's hard in the current sleaze but I wholeheartedly wish you all happy thoughts. Personally, I feel like I'm covered in catholic, I'm going for a shower!

Holy Colander Batman

The Vatican today announced that in an effort to modernise and, I suspect, to offset the terrible publicity it has recently received, the currently popular figure of pillory, Papa Joe, has sanctioned a range of condoms.
The Vatican is marketing the condoms, as "Total protection from STDs" ( that is, according to them, 'Satanically Transmitted Diseases.') Promising to protect the wearer from infection, though this is a claim common for all condoms.

The vatican points out, however, that the major difference their condoms offer is the Holy See's "Serving the Will of God" guarantee of excellence. certifying the condoms fit for catholic purpose.

The apparently much heralded, though I hadn't heard of it,

"Holy Colander range" 

has a matrix of one-way nano-valves built into the tip.

Upon...ahh.. issue, god's little swimmers are allowed to sally forth, so to speak, wriggling happily through the valves and merrily on their mission.

The Cost Of A Ticket To Heaven

 The current catholic paedophile scandal has rocked the world and it's likely to rumble on for a good while. And fair enough, if you've read my blogs you know, I stand somewhere in the region of - Nuke the Vatican, Let God sort it out - but for the average 'pretender in god' the phrase - "God will heal the paedophile of his perversion! We'll just put him in a room, so god can sort him out" - makes some sort of sense. The pretender in god actually believes, the 'god' is going to do something magical to that person in that room, so that when they come out they are all fixed better.
The problem is, of course, god has never existed, so locking a paedo in a room for a while so he can ask god for help and guidance, and think about what he's done, is exactly the same as doing nothing.
Make no mistake here, it is delusion which has enabled the children's suffering! The mad-as-a-loon, crazy-eyed belief in a god. The flat-stupid faith that the god will ultimately sort everything out for the best! (Panglossian almost)
From the common, everyday, head-in-the-sand parishioner to the topmost, holy suck-up, popiest pope, every last one of them felt safe - comforted by their imaginary grandad's cuddly blindfold.

And all the time, all of these people prayed god would, keep it out of the news, prayed god would, help the sinner, prayed god would, heal the victim. Of course nobody's prayer was answered because, as we all really know, there is nobody to answer them -

GOD IS AN IMAGINARY BEING!

And all the time, that the faithful, the nuns, the good priests, the bishops, the archbishops, the cardinals and popes were busy praying hard, a child in the dark was also praying...

"Oh God, please, no more! Don't let it happen any mo-or-ore..."

For ALL of these people, more than a billion catholics worldwide, the cost of a ticket to heaven has recently gone up.
Alongside the normal prostrations a catholic must make, to show worthiness of entry to Pretendsville, each and every catholic must now consider the thousands and thousands, possibly millions, of childrens' innocence, trust, faith and futures that have been destroyed because of the flock's collective afterlife wishing.
I feel for the catholics who choose to continue pretending in god, for them the walls that line the stairway to the kingdom of their god now carry permanently looped video footage of every child that was ever abused by any priest.

If they all had not believed in a god so blindly,
 these monsters would not have been concealed.
If they all had not believed in a god at all,
 there would have been nothing to conceal them behind.

The human cost of a ticket to heaven is already shamefully high.
For the sake of humanity,
won't you just give up
 pretending in god?

In the spirit of honesty, morality, honour, justice and purity which is currently stalking the halls of the Vatican (I can dream!) we the free peoples of earth would all like it very much if you would allow full access to the Vatican archives - that's all of them mind you, even the super-duper secret ones, in the extra super special secret places.
Release the details of everything the roman catholic church has covered up, hidden, connived and contrived. All the secret meddling, bribery and corruption way back to when you were a minor cult in the Roman Empire.
You must be aware by our reaction to your organization's nasty ways that we're all grown up now. It's also now blatantly obvious that we are more moral than you.
Whatever is in there, we can handle! Thanks for your kind protection of these important relics but really, OPEN THE DOORS.
Come on, you know from recent experience that keeping secrets doesn't work, hand 'em over, we'll decide what's best to do.

The Cost of Pretending in God

I saw that this might be a difficult moment for rank and file catholics which is why, attempting to show support, I tweeted...
Tricky for Catholics now eh?
Go to church + look like u condone the abuse,
stay home + look like u don't.Oh wait, that's easy!
I had incorrectly assumed that all catholics would be troubled but choose anyway to stay away in their millions as a protest, but NO! - It appears that the Catholics are so desperate to hang on to their afterlife wet-dream, they'll overlook anything!

It's 'head in the sand' time folks!

Because if they know what's going on, they might have to have change their opinion about their imaginary god's, so called, "representative on earth".
But, if the pope is covering up child abuse on a global scale and the Catholics keep kissing his ring, so to speak, how does that look?

For now though, never mind how it might look, ask yourself...

Where does the catholic church gets its funds?

The faithful fill the collection plate - right?

Well I reckon it's time for all Catholics to take a deep breath, stand up and be counting.

• Work out how much you have put in the collection plate in your life time.
• Divide that number by 25

The result will be an approximation of how much money papa Joe's paedo machine has donated to the care of paedophiles priests on your behalf, money which has gone into the paedo's mucky pockets. Money to purchase the favours that greased the paedo priest's path and sweeties to undress the children. Money from the collection plate, which has been used to cover up the abuses!

YOUR MONEY!

If I was part of an organisation whose leader had issued instructions to keep child abuse secret I would...

• call the police,
• leave that organisation

and possibly, if I had discovered they'd been using my pension fund to protect and support these sickos, I might even be enraged enough to...

• take a baseball bat to the intimate trouser area of those responsible!

I would NOT

• SAY NOTHING
• DO NOTHING
• KEEP THE SECRET!

So how is it that nobody in the vatican had the same reaction?
Why did they ALL choose to keep the secret?
Doesn't keeping the secret make you complicit?

In society there are paedophiles also but they are not tolerated. If a paedophile stepped to a human and said "I have recently fucked the faces of 200 children but I am really sorry and I repent", I reckon most humans would want to kick the shit out of him anyway, so that every time he looked in the mirror he'd remember how everyone feels about what he'd done and, so he'd remember what he had repented!
I reckon most humans would NOT

• Send him for a holiday for a few weeks then give him the children back to play with.
• Get the victims to sign confidentiality agreements to save the churches reputation.

Where are the howls of protest from the catholic faithful?
Where are the empty catholic churches
 for the pope's disgracefully ineffectual actions?

If the catholic flock had not been so desperate to buy a seat in the pretender's kingdom the vatican would not have had the funds to feed, cloth, house and shelter these child rapists!

The catholic religion has been an archaic and austere fortress of delusion and educational deformity for centuries, it is now obviously riddled with perversion and corruption. It is seedy to its core, yet it still promotes itself as the voice of morality, and catholics (many of them small children) are still swallowing it!

After reading the documents(link below), which the NYTimes have helpfully placed the online, I am left with the feeling that Murphy clearly understood that the church was more bothered about its reputation than the children.
I am also left wondering how the Vatican's representative who interviewed him over the allegations didn't just kick the shit out of him right there and then.EVERYBODY would have understood!
In my opinion, when Pope Bene-dickhead the sick-teenth visits the UK later this year...

Every Catholic who turns out to fawn over this monster is condoning every priestly cock ever rammed into a child.
Every Catholic who turns out to see the Pope idol is as bad as all those fuck-wit evil priests who thought it was okay to keep the secret.
Every Catholic who turns out to the Papal Pillock, is condoning the Vatican's centuries old standpoint that the Catholic church's reputation is more important than the destruction of children.

Papal Letter of Apology

Pope Benedict XVI has issued a formal apology to the Irish victims of decades of sex abuse by Catholic priests.

An Apology?
Another pitiful apology?Is this not just the clearest example of how the Papa Joe has absolutely no understanding of reality.
These clergy who have abused the children in their care have not only had sex with a child, they have destroyed that child's life. Every future sexual encounter the child has, every relationship is at the very least tainted by their past experiences.
With the statistics, discussed in "Millios of Clouds, No Silver Lining" (Catholic Evilness page), suggesting that the number of abusers in the priesthood might be as high as 1 in every 25 priests, how can a man who is supposed to be God's earthly representative think it's ok to say sorry and just carry on?
In the light of what has been occurring probably since there was a Catholic church but certainly for more than half a century, and Papa Joe's abismal personal record in dealing with these monsters,this letter of apology
should have been a resignation.

In 2001, Pope Benedict, then Cardinal Ratzinger, signed an official Vatican document⁽¹⁾ telling bishops to keep secret the details of priestly misbehaviour that they reported to Rome.

The Pope's letter called for "concrete initiatives", which he pitifully details as pray and read the bible so, as his letter seems to display a similar incompetence to his inaction in 2001 here's what I reckon should happen.

1. The Pope, Cardinals, Archbishops and Bishops, and all those who have followed his dictate to keep the secret should be publicly defrocked and excommunicated pending criminal investigations.
2. "Although the Pope said Vatican officials would visit Ireland (Link Below) to inspect some dioceses, he did not call for any restructuring of the Church in Ireland" - As we cannot trust those who have concealed the truth and scurried to pervert the cause of justice, holding the church's reputation above the destruction of children, the trust of its members and oh yes, THE LAW, it would be irresponsible to allow this malfunctioning ministry to put its own house in order.
   We should now make it a legal requirement for the Catholic church to employ secular social workers, so that children are protected. Chaperoned both physically and mentally.
   A child can be so easily damaged, mislead, and even led astray, and as the children shape the social structure of the future, perhaps it would be in all our interests to ensure that in order to run a church, an organization must be able to provide one secular social worker for each clergy.

You can't get balanced children
if they are only exposed
to an exclusive point of view.

Dear Papa Joe
Time to do the right thing...

ask anyone who lives in the real world.

Is The Pope In It Up To His Cassocks

convicted child molester, Father Hullermann, the priest at the center of a German sexual-abuse scandal, was allowed to continue to work with altar boys and girls for decades. (until this week!)
Pope Benedict XVI who was Archbishop of the diocese where the priest worked also later served as the cardinal in charge of reviewing sexual abuse cases for the Vatican.

How can we allow it? I personally do not wish to be associated with this. It appears to me, to be clearly condoning the pope and the Roman Catholic Church's willful inaction! I am horrified that the British Government thinks it's okay to fuss and fawn over the leader of a church which is so sexually corrupt.

There had to be proof somewhere of the Vatican's knowledge of its abusive minions, but is this it?

The document was sent to every bishop in the world, with orders to keep it under lock and key, the BBC's David Willey in Rome reports...

It bears the seal of Pope John XXIII, and calls for "strictest" secrecy in dealing with abuse allegations within the Church.
It threatens to expel from the Church anyone who breaks their silence...

The Vatican's 1983 Code of Canon Law says a priest found to have abused a minor can be defrocked.

Millions Of Clouds - No Silver Lining

I recently read a 2008 report in the Times ⁽¹⁾ which stated that the average paedophile will abuse 200 different victims in his lifetime and it made me wonder, given the recent horrific admissions and apologies by the pope, how many priests is he apologising for? How many Priests abuse?

Nobody knows for sure how many priest abuse⁽²⁾, just as the number is not known for the general population. Estimates suggesting between 2% and 4%⁽³⁾ are supported by an independent survey taken in 2002 at a conference of Catholic bishops in the U.S.⁽⁴⁾ The survey showed the percentage of abusive priests to be 4%.

After their 2005 census, the Vatican announced that there are 406,411⁽⁵⁾ Catholic Priests in the world. As the survey suggested 4% of that number will be abusive, so one can assume that there are approximately 16,256 PERMANENTLY active paedophiles in the Catholic Church!

Of the organizational members of the Catholic Church, above the level of humble priest, there is an organizational hierarchy made up of Bishops, Archbishops, Cardinals, and the Papa himself.
Now we must concede that the leaders and organizers of the world's most pervasive doctrine, are very clever men. The same sort of clever men that run banks, government, universities, multinational corporations - your MD or executive type. We must assume this because it would be ludicrous to assume that the unHoly Roman Empire was run by idiots and oafs!
No really, come on, in all seriousness, it would. The boys at the top have to be smart cookies! It's how you get to the top after all!
Anyway, if you add together all these smart cookies, the Master of the Empire and his minions, his Cardinals, his Archbishops and his Bishops, the Catholic Church's organisational hierarchy numbers some 4573 men.⁽⁶⁾
That's 4573 men who have to be smart enough to run the whole holy show, 4573 men who must have their finger on the pulse in order for the organisation to function. 4573 superiors of the priests.

As the Times article stated, Paedophiles abuse 200 victims in their lifetime. We have calculated so far that at any one time there are 16256 Paedophiles in the priesthood. The numbers suggest then, that the priesthood's Paedophiles will commit in their lifetime a staggering, 3,251,200 abuses.
That's three and a quarter million destroyed children!

I find no way to comprehend how smart men could have been unaware. In my opinion the numbers do not support the notion that the Pope and his 4572 helpers did not know the extent of the problem!
And this begs a further thought. This is not the first year in which abuse has occurred. Over the centuries of totalitarian rule from Rome, how many Popes and the thousands of cardinals archbishops, bishops, have turned a blind eye to the suffering of the little children, sacrificed on the alter of the church's reputation?
And thus far the Pope has offered little more than hushed, hurried apologies and pitiful compensation settlements. Where's the program of free therapy for the victims of your minions? Where's the outrage and horror that normal people feel? Where's the open and concerted effort to rid your religion of this menace?

Go on -  have a witch-hunt...

With a potential 3.25 million abhorrent dark clouds hanging over the Catholic church and the Pope's outrageously ineffectual attempts at a silver lining, the Pope should not only be refused the honour of a state visit but further, he should be refused entry into the UK.
